Living near Lake Erie, which is a GREAT lake! The beaches are full of nature's treasures, like driftwood, in so many shapes, textures, sizes, and colors.
My niece showed me a picture of a man and woman made with small stones. Well, driftwood has many more shapes and is not heavy like stones can be. That was the start of my love of walking the beaches, collecting beautiful pieces of wood, seeing all the shapes & what they might be. A bird? A lighthouse? A woman's dress?
